Hiya
So I went shopping, spent 50 bucks on ground turkey, thin chicken breast, 95%lean beef burgers, non fat shredded cheddar cheese, nonfat cream cheese, nonfat cottage cheese, nonfat milk, 95% lean turkey bacon, some dijon mustard, my oat bran, you know..basics for this diet I guess.
I had 3 eggs for breakfast with some paprika and chili powder
I made a burger well done put some fat free shredded cheese and a piece of turkey bacon on top. It was good. But I was still hungry so I took out a hard boiled egg, split it in half, scooped out the yolk and mixed it with some dijon paprika and onion powder and put it back into the white and had a little deviled egg. That was a nice snack. But I really want something sweet! My dad ate a banana right in front of me before, It looked so good, but...he doesnt know about me doing this diet so I cant be mad at him!
Well...im going to drink my water and watch Dr. Oz
Wish me luck for the rest of the day!!!
xx BAYE.
Hi Baye,
ReplyDeleteThanks for the words of support and encouragement.
I chose WW for the freedom...this is a change that I making for life. I don't think about it as a diet because (in my experience), diets fail. Weight Watchers allows me to eat like a normal person, enjoy my life, and be healthy. I love it. I'm not sure how long ago you did Weight Watchers but now they have something called a Recipe Builder. It allows you to input the ingredients of any recipe (and the amounts) you make and it will convert the whole thing into a point total...then you can designate how many servings the recipe you made is and it will tell you the points per serving. Its awesome and I use it all the time!
As far as my sharing my experiences with my friends and family...it was important for me to keep myself accountable. If other people are aware of my journey it reminds me that if I give up, I fail them too. Everyone has been BEYOND supportive. I can't even tell you how amazing it feels to have people backing you when you are making such a life altering change. I know it can be scary and hard...but I would truly encourage you to let someone in your life know about your important journey. Maybe not everyone...but someone that you know who can love you and support you. I know you are fearful of rejection or judgement...but I bet you that their reaction will surprise you.
I wish you nothing but the best of luck! Feel free to drop by anytime :)
I agree with Steph actually. Maybe let the people you're living with know you're trying something out. I know how it feels to be embarrassed about "dieting," but it may help so they wont offer you as much food you cant eat. They'll bring you home takeout or some family dinner will roll around, and if you're adamant about secrecy you may eat the food to look "normal."
ReplyDeleteI did Weight Watchers for a few months without letting anyone in my house know. That was kind of easy cause you just fill your plate up less and secretly bring out the measuring cup.
But if you think Dunkan is better for you, stick with it! Maybe you can pull it off secretly. So far so good, right?
I just wanna say I love your "just for today" idea and I think I will incorporate it myself
